Ok we’re a little bit biased, but our beautifully designed Carreg Bar & Restaurant has one of the best coastal views in the whole of Wales if not the UK; and one that stretches all the way from the beautiful Poppit Sands beach, taking in the River Teifi estuary and far off out into the Irish Sea.
It’s certainly a place where everyone can enjoy the Welsh weather come rain or shine. We experienced some spectacular sunsets dipping into the ocean from our beautiful patio over the summer months, but we equally love to watch a dark and dramatic storm rolling in from the sea whilst cosied up on our comfy sofas with hot drinks inside!
We quite regularly see dolphins, seals and porpoises popping up in the waters from The Carreg Bar & Restaurant and are always delighted to hear from our guests how surprised they are that they can be enjoying their meals whilst watching these beautiful creatures without having to go searching for them at all.
We take pride in working with our wonderful local Welsh producers to create our Modern European food. Working with local cheesemakers, butchers & fishermen, we make sure to base our menus on the fantastic seasonal produce we have around us. Some foodie highlights include our now well-known Afternoon Tea which we serve every day and of course, our classic Sunday Lunch Carvery is as popular as ever – so don’t forget to book in advance!
At our Carreg Bar, we serve locally made drinks from Teas to Beers, have an extensive Wine & Spirits list, and in addition to our brilliantly created signature Cocktail menu, we love to create seasonal specials which always go down well.
Last but certainly not least, our excellent staff are vital in maintaining the warm and welcoming environment you’ll find at The Carreg Bar & Restaurant. Amongst them you’ll find a range of languages spoken, a passion for what they do, and not to mention some great and memorable personalities.
