Take in a show at Theatre Mwldan
This brilliant independent theatre in the heart of Cardigan town centre, is an excellent facility for the community and visitors to the area. Showing a whole range of entertainment from the latest blockbusters, to professional ballet shows, community pantos, art show, bands and comedians.

Wonder around Cardigan Castlecardigan castle
After a £12m restoration, the castle reopened in 2015 and is an incredible historic attraction in Cardigan town. Well worth a visit to have a look around the beautiful grounds, the castle ruins, and the Georgian mansion; and finish off your trip with a coffee in the beautiful designed 1176 café with great views out to the River Teifi.

Explore The Welsh Wildlife Centre
This wonderful wildlife reserve on the banks of the Teifi River, hosts a whole load of things to do including navigating the Teifi Marsh trails, spotting an outstanding array of wildlife, and having a go in the adventure playground. The indoor shop, and interpretation centre, as well as the stunning Glasshouse Café, make this a great place to visit whether it’s raining or not!

Visit Cardigan Island Farm Park
Visit this farm park located in stunning scenery offers the best view of Cardigan Island and the chance to see and sometimes feed, a whole of friendly animals. In addition to farm animals including sheep, pigs, donkeys, goats etc. the farm park is also home to wallabies, llamas and emus & rheas.

This incredible sandy beach is one of Wales’ hidden gems. There is extraordinarily picturesque 14th century church just above the beach, and ample parking, before the steep steps lead down to the coved beach, providing safe swimming conditions. Foel y Mwnt hill overlooks the beach and provides a beautiful vantage point from which you can see far off into the distance up the Welsh coast.

Stroll through Cardigan High Street
As many UK high streets over the last decade, Cardigan has seen its share of ups and down. But now experiencing a revival, this vibrant town centre now hosts a great variety of shops and cafes and lives up to its bustling market town heritage. From local craft makers in the Guildhall, to the brilliant independent cafes and clothes shops, there’s something for everyone here.

Pop over to Pembrokeshire and Poppit Sands
This beautiful long sandy beach is located opposite The Cliff Hotel & Spa, on the other river of the Teifi River. An impressive large beach even when the tide is in, when the tide is out the full extent of the expanse of this sandy space is shown. Poppit Sands is a great beach year round, providing a brilliant spot for wintery walks or summer swimming.

Walk the Welsh Coastal Pathcoastal path
Cardigan town is ideally located on edge of two counties, and the stunning Welsh Coastal Path, a favourite for walking groups. From the town centre, you can either head north east up the Ceredigion Coastal Path taking in Cardigan Island and Mwnt beach or head south west down the Pembrokeshire Coast taking across the beautiful Poppit Sands and Cymaes Head.

Take a Boat with Bay to Remember
This brilliant boat trip is a must for locals and visitors alike. Offering a variety of different departure times and trip lengths, this is undoubtedly the best way to get up close and personal with the incredible marine and life of Cardigan Bay; from bottlenose dolphins, to grey seals and guillemots to cormorants. Don’t forget to add this to your ‘to do in Cardigan’ list.
